MUS3, the Portsmouth-based tribute to the multi-award winning English rock band Muse, will be playing an exclusive show at Moon Shine in Southsea on Thursday 16 February 2023.

The band has spent over a year meticulously planning every detail of their official launch show and are in the final stages of rehearsals, ensuring that they authentically capture the look and immense sound of the original band.

All three band members are from the Portsmouth area, Dan Lines (guitar and lead vocals), Ali Martin (bass and backing vocals) and Kyle Fenton (drums and backing vocals), and they’ve been playing together regularly in other projects for over a decade, as Ali explains.

“I first met Kyle about 10 years ago in a Duran Duran tribute and I haven’t been able to get rid of him since!

“Fast forward and the three of us were performing at a typical function gig late 2021 and played Uprising and Starlight, two massive hits by Muse. The passion and energy we all individually brought to these songs was something else and it was only chatting afterwards when packing down we discovered we were all massive Muse fans.

“So we’ve spent the last year preparing everything to perfection: rehearsals, recording, photography, the website and now the live laser show, it’s going to be as close to the real McCoy as possible.”

The band teased their new show at The Loft in Southsea in October last year to gauge their progress and audience reaction and the comments on social media were full of praise: “That was off the scale… absolute class musicianship and vocals, I absolutely loved it.”

Simulating the original band's stadium crushing sound, MUS3’s energetic live show features hit songs from Muse's debut album Showbiz right up to their latest number one album Will Of The People, including Time is Running Out, Starlight, Plug in Baby, Knights of Cydonia, Supermassive Black Hole, Madness, Hysteria and Uprising.

And Moon Shine, at 1 Granada Road in Southsea, has extended their licence so that anyone over 16 years can attend the venue until the end of the show at 10pm.

Doors open at 6:00pm and the entertainment starts at 7:00pm with support from local singer Milly Thimaras and her band.

Tickets are £10 advance and £12 on the door and available from musetributeband.com/moonshine.
